New Learning Culture: To Love Learning (HD)

To Love Learning …
Natural curiosity and genuine interest in the subject make learning joyful for everyone. How can we keep this natural joy of learning alive ?

Imagine
School……a place where you love to send your children
…and your children really love to go …

Kids, especially young children, are highly motivated to learn.
We can nurture this instinct by creating excellent conditions for learning. Kids thrive when we respond to their genuine needs.
When we give them time and space for individual exploration in inspiring environments, and when we teach them respectfully,
kids love learning.

Learning places that inspire self-directed learning provide all the practical tools, art-supplies, books, instruments, and hands-on materials kids need to enjoy working at their own pace, in their own style, and exercising their individual talents.

Frequent teacher-directed lessons complement and balance the self-directed learning experience.

Being mindful of healthy boundaries, like purposeful order
and respectful clear communication, will make sure that everyone feels safe and respected.

Self-directed learning can be included in any existing learning place,
from pre-school to high-school, as well as home-school,

Let’s create inspirational places
for self-directed learning & guided lessons !

Sounds Like Latvia

Uploaded by http://onkulis.com
Promotional video “Sounds Like Latvia” features what could become a memorable trademark for the city of Riga - talking Art Nouveau statues that introduce Latvia as a place for fun, business and excitement.

The fast-paced 5-minute video was produced by “Style masters studio” and presented to the Latvian media and diplomatic corps by Foreign Minister Artis Pabriks during a special preview presentation at the Berg Hotel on October 23rd. The musical video will be publicly available for viewing and down-loading on the LI web-site on October 27, 2006.

The video was created for use by government governmental institutions, state agencies, embassies and nongovernmental organizations in conjunction with conferences, exhibits and other international events. Directed by Ivo Kalpenieks, the video expands on Latvia’s tourism slogan “The Land that Sings” by conveying the sights and sounds of Latvian nature, business and tourism. Riga’s familiar Jugenstil architecture comes to life as the distinctive stone faces introduce each segment of the video.

Script writers - Ivo Kalpenieks and Ēriks Božis, director - Ivo Kalpenieks, music by: Ğirts Bišs, cameramen - Andris Priedītis and Uldis Jancis, administrator - Laima Freimane.
